There is no governmental, central repository of ALL records in ALL counties because the counties do not have any requirement to all be on the same page or use the same procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Records are supplied:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">on a webpage as a list<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">on a webpage only available through a search form<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">on a downloadable PDF<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">on a downloadable Excel Spreadsheet<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">on a downloadable Word Document<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Some counties do not supply a thing. You have to track their auctions and find out which ones sold for more than the starting bid to determine if there is an overbid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our biggest pieces of advice is in this area. DO NOT just accept what the county throws up on their website. We have seen\u00a0<u>many<\/u>\u00a0instances of \u201chere\u2019s our surplus list\u201d but it\u2019s months or a year old and they have had plenty of auctions with overbids since then.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With all of that said, we can tell you that you will find little success if you rely on county-supplied surplus lists. Other Asset Recovery businesses have already obtained those records long before the county put them up on their website.
